Jackie is retiring from designing. It does take a lot of time, and I am sure she has made the right decision- to spend more time IRL, with family and friends. All of her kits are leaving digiland forever.

Angie is moving to Scrap Matters. This is very exciting as there is a great community over there, and the products that she put out for Scrap Matters are just stunning. Some products are retiring, and some will disappear for a while and be re-vamped for Scrap Matters.

So check out the sales, and be sure to leave some love for them as they each close out a chapter and start another!!!

Jackie also has some great beginner digiscrap tips on her blog. She also has some great paper craft tutorials. They look adorable. My patience (and my ability to do these with a 2 year old) isn't that great, but I hope some one can take advantage of them. Maybe post some pictures?

Wow! 2 days in a row. Good to be back in the swing of things. Lots of releases happening, so have to get them all out here!

Today, Jackie is releasing her newest kit- Exquisite. It is just that. Take a look!

This is so beautiful! The colors match my bridesmaid dress from my little sis's wedding so stay tuned for more LO's. I can't find the photos right now... I actually don't think I took that many, so I will have to rely on hers. Here's a LO of some frozen fog/frost roses, hoar frost-- whatever you want to call it.

Catch up, yet again!

Here I am, trying to play catch up once again. Life's been so crazy lately! Mom's laid up with a busted elbow, she messed it up so bad that she had surgery and she's trying to recover from everything at once. So I have been trying to help out, which means I've been away from home for the past 2 long weekends.

My CT designers have been working away, and there's a few new kits I want to show you. The first was released last Tuesday and it's by Down This Road Designs. You can find it at Brownie Scraps. It's a LDS kit for the "Young Women" Program. I'm not LDS, and I don't know much at all about the program, but it looks like a wonderful way to bring young women up. The kit is beautiful, chock full of inspiration, bright colors, and great elements. If you are not LDS, don't worry- the kit has SOOO much in it, I really think it would work for any young girl. It's called Precious Values. Well, check it out yourself...

I really had to think to use this kit, because I am terrible at new years resolutions. I didn't set any specific goals this year, but I really want to just try to be a better version of me. The list below may be easy for some people, but they are things that I really struggle with. Anyone have any hints?

My second page is one of me and my little cousin, Logan. I haven't got it journaled yet, but it's from my sister's wedding. Logan actually got paid for every picture he was in. Pretty sure he got double for this one! You would never know he was uncooperative!

Tasty Tuesday "Many Blessings"

So Brownie Scraps just changed their release date from Friday to Tuesday. So much for Fresh From the Oven Friday. Guess I'll have to call it Tasty Tuesday or something!

Today, I have a LO done with Jacabean's "Many Blessings". It's an old release (but is being rolled out again with a 25% off sale, and if you snoop around the forum at Brownie Scraps there just may be a RAK... HINT HINT!), It's about being thankful and blessed, and it's family themed. Sounds like Thanksgiving right? Well, that's right around the corner, and I am so excited to celebrate all I am thankful for with my family. It's been a trying few months, but it makes me realize how thankful I am for those around me.

Here's a LO of some of the everyday moments I have with my son. He carries so many titles.

I'm not thankful for the little text box that snuck in smack on the middle of the page, lol. I am thankful I can go in and remove it before I have the page printed though!!!!

Loss of a Friend, some new LO's

Today my husband and I will attend the visitation for one of our old neighbors. He was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia on Monday. He was gone by Thursday afternoon. The neighborhood was so close, we were sad to leave, and we don't get back to visit as much as we should. It reminds me that we really should be thankful for every moment that we get to spend with someone.

These next two LO's were done using a previously released kit called Camilla by Down This Road Designs- available at Brownie Scraps. The first is one featuring one of my Great Grandmother's last days with us, and the second is a couple's engagement photos.

And here is a LO of me and my Daddy on my wedding day. I look so scared lol. Don't know why, I have the best hubby anyone could ask for and he has made me very happy. Walking down the aisle with my Dad was hard- when we first found out he had cancer, I was so afraid he wouldn't be able to, Thankfully he has been cancer free for almost 5 years now. I got my tears out during the rehearsal, so it wasn't so bad :)

Summer Train... Coming to a blog near you!

Gosh it was hot here yesterday! We were in a heat advisory most of the day. I stayed inside, but man that AC was working hard! Today we have a playdate with some friends, that will probably be inside too :(. But it will be good for all the little ones to play together.

All of the CT members at DTRD and Jacabean Designs have been working on a blog train. I can't wait to share it with you, so stay tuned. It goes live on July 22. You won't want to miss it.

I love to scrap pages with both my son and hubby. They have such fun together. It is amazing to watch them! Here's a page where Vaughn weaseled a piece of cake out of his Daddy, and proceeded to make a big mess. Well, with those two, there is usually a mess involved, lol!

I used Angie's soon to be released kit called RULE THE SCHOOL. It's all about teachers, school, kids, etc. I also made a hybrid project in case anyone like me is lazy and is just doing gift cards... It will be on the blog tomorrow as my Friday Freebie. This kit is great for stuff like that! There are all sorts of projects going on with the CT, so be sure to check out their blogs for great Freebies!

Angie has been quite busy lately. 2 releases, and a blog freebie kit coming up. The first release is a very soft, touchable kit called Softly Spoken. It is beautiful and is loaded with elements for pretty much any occasion. I think I will get a lot of use out of it.

Me on the other hand, I have not been very busy. I have been struggling to keep up with CT duties, and haven't put any time into designing lately. It's kinda sad. I need some inspiration-- anyone got some LO's that they have made with my kits? I have had hundreds of DL's, and a fair amount of comments, but I never see any finished work. OK, so like 2 people other than my CT have sent me LO's. For those I am grateful. For the rest of you... Show me results! I would LOVE to see what you did. I am so excited to be able to tell you that Jackie's CT has merged with Angie's from Down this Road Designs. Both designers are amazing, and it is going to be so fun to get to work with Angie's Kits too. Be sure to check out her store at Brownie Scraps!

So, I have been searching for a kit to do Vaughn's baby book. What does Jackie do? Goes and creates the most adorable little boy kit- that I HAVE to use because I am on her CT. Rough work, right? I think these pages turned out way cute. I have a lot more to do, but I think this kit is a winner.

NEW RELEASE: Go Purple!

I decided to release this kit early, because Jackie has some exciting news coming up. Please consider purchasing this kit to benefit my husband's cousin, Kim, who just finished up treatments for Hodgkin's Disease. I am happy to say she is cancer free, but unfortunately, she has racked up some medical bills- so we are holding a benefit for her in April. All proceeds will go to her benefit.
I think Lavender is the official color for awareness for Hodgkins, but since we are all Vikings fans, Go Purple sounded more appropriate.

Check out this great kit from Jacabean Designs. It's called Playful Penguins. It is now available at Jacabean's Scrapable Store. I just think it is adorable! The color scheme is so fun, it can be girly or boyish, and the elements are oh so cute. I think it is really versatile too- Jackie's kits always have a fun theme, and I also find that if you don't want to use the themed elements you still end up with a great selection of papers and elements to use for just about anything.

Today I have a sneek peak of my newest kit "Backstage Pass". It was inspired by my cousin's Bar Mitzvah, which was a rock/music/band theme. I had a lot of fun creating it, and can't wait to share it with you. Well, yes I can actually. I have a few things to finish up, and my fabulous new CT is busy creating LO's with it, so you can download it on Monday, January 25th.

I am also going to start "Freebie Fridays". On Friday, I will post QP's/templates, clusters, etc from my CT and any freebies I make for Jackie's CT. I am so excited! Since the Hula Girls are no more, (that's a whole nuther story, we just got an e-mail saying that there was not a Hula Girls team anymore) I decided not to try out for the store team again, and decided to join Jackie's team. Christmas was a little rough on the scheduling. And I am still putting in extra hours at work. Bad Blogger!

So I haven't been a very good blogger lately.... I have been busy with all the goodness that comes along with the holiday season. Not to mention the Iowa weather :( We were stuck within 20 miles of home, and 30 miles from my MIL- and couldn't get to either because of TERRIBLE road conditions. Total sheet of ice. But we made it in time for Christmas- with only 1 night in the Super 8- LOL!

New Kit Preview

All 3 of us were home due to a snow day today. Gotta love Iowa winters! So I did get some new CU items, and played with them a bit. I am excited to show you what I have come up with. I have the house to myself for a bit. Vaughn and Mitch went for a ride in Mitch's truck. Vaughn LOVES to go with daddy. He has a diesel and the truck has a backup beeper so the truck is very loud, He can hear Daddy come home and runs across the house to greet him. Too cute! Vaughn doesn't say truck- it is just "MUM MUM".

How exciting! I got an email from Luise, and she has supplied the first LO from my Tidings of Joy kit. Lookie here!

A Thanksgiving Treat- Christmas Style

So I finished up the kit that I started for Christmas. I am giving it for free on my blog, so be sure to stop by over Thanksgiving weekend to pick it all up. Here is the preview. I am having problems uploading- but it should be done later this evening. I will put up the papers first.

I would love you hear your thoughts on the kit... Like it, Love it, Hate it, or otherwise. I would like to be in a store by early next year, so I need all the feedback I can get to make things better. As I mention below I will be holding some one kit CT calls, so if you are interested, send me your LO's!

Since I have my holidays all messsed up anyway, I put together a list of scrapping resolutions for me:

*Offer 1 Freebie every 2 weeks to be posted on my blog (A full kit, not just a sampler!)
*Practice creating my own elements. (yes, from scratch- this could be challenging- I am terrible at extractions
*Blog more often (this is a tough one too- I'm sooo busy lol)
*Give up a CT Team. (this will be sad, and I will be staying on one CT, but I just don't have time for it all)
*Offer 1 Kit CT calls to get feedback on kits, and have more than just a preview to promote, as well as meet some new people.
*Continue working with mentors to improve my designs. (thanks Jackie and Ramona!)

You get the last part of the kit early today, because we are going Christmas Shopping! I have my EHD on the way, so that's my present, and I got Vaughn's stocking stuffers yesterday. But we are off to Bed Bath and Beyond because that is where we can get Discover Gift Cards. Can't beat free money! Don't know what we are getting, but we can usually pick up gifts for the women at least. My Dad is easy- a Gander Mountain or Cabela's Deer Hunting shirt- Far Side Calendar if we can find one. Predictable, but useful.

Just got back from Vaughn's 15 month appointment. He is a champ at shots- he cries when we hold him down, but not when he actually gets the shot! They didn't have any flu shots, so now we have to try to find the regular AND the H1N1...more than likely at 2 different places. Grrrr...

Well, finally we are all healthy again in this house! I have had some time for designing, but not too much for scrapping myself. I'm back, this past week was a little draining. My son was sick- nothing too serious, but he was SO clingy. So, I don't know how many of you have had a 1 year old stuck to your leg, but it is hard to get anything done!
