Bad Blogger!

So I haven't been a very good blogger lately....  I have been busy with all the goodness that comes along with the holiday season.  Not to mention the Iowa weather :(  We were stuck within 20 miles of home, and 30 miles from my MIL- and couldn't get to either because of TERRIBLE road conditions.  Total sheet of ice.  But we made it in time for Christmas- with only 1 night in the Super 8- LOL!

I do have some CT layouts for you, I used some great kits from scrapable and digital paper hearts.  Check them out!  I will get around to posting the previews tomorrow- but for now here are my pages.

12 days of Christmas.... and the last part of the Take Flight freebie kit

Here is a schedule of the 12 days of Christmas at Scrapable.

Love the ad?  It's made from Jackie's new kit, called Gift Wrapped.  Want to win the kit?  Head to her blog (http://jacabean.blogspot.com) to check it out!  You have until Sunday!

And here's the link to the last part of Take Flight- THE ELEMENTS.

There is one other thing that I wanted to mention, it is that I don't include all of the elements and papers in the previews, so you are really getting a lot more than what is pictured.    Do you like this or do you prefer to see all of it?  Would you rather have me say how many papers/ellies there are?

Take Flight Free Kit- Papers Part 1

First I have a proposition for someone with extracting talent.  I am so terrible at extractions, so I would like to give access to my gallery of random photos, have someone extract them, and send them back as CU elements, and allow me the rights to your newly created CU product.  You keep the rights to sell, use, do whatever you want with the CU items.  E-mail me if you are interested!

You can find the the first set of papers to my newest kit "Take Flight" HERE

As always, I love comments, and to see your work in action!  Leave a comment here, on 4shared, or shoot me an e-mail (mmcdonough107 at g mail dot com)!  Your comments inspire me to do more, and I enjoy reading about your "favorite" elements!

New Kit Preview

So, I haven't kept up my goal of posting more often....  But I do have a new kit nearly ready for you.

All 3 of us were home due to a snow day today.  Gotta love Iowa winters!  So I did get some new CU items, and played with them a bit.  I am excited to show you what I have come up with. But you will have to wait..  For now, here is the kit I created for the Brownie Scraps December Unbaked Challenge.    Links up soon...  It's called "Take Flight"

Some CT Layouts, and a LO using Tidings of Joy

I have the house to myself for a bit.  Vaughn and Mitch went for a ride in Mitch's truck.  Vaughn LOVES to go with daddy.  He has a diesel and the truck has a backup beeper so the truck is very loud,  He can hear Daddy come home and runs across the house to greet him.  Too cute!  Vaughn doesn't say truck- it is just "MUM MUM".

How exciting!  I got an email from Luise, and she has supplied the first LO from my Tidings of Joy kit.  Lookie here!

Here are some LO's from my Scrapable CT, I used a real fun kit called So In Love- by doohikey designs.  You can find it at scrapable.net.  The first is me and my hubby at our wedding.

The next is a couple of friends, not a couple, but I thought it was a cute picture anyway!

Happy Turkey Day!

As promised, before I get my fill of turkey, here are the elements for Tidings Of Joy.

I am still in need of LO's to showcase the kits-- send me your creations at mmcdonough107 at gmail dot com.

A Thanksgiving Treat- Christmas Style

So I finished up the kit that I started for Christmas.  I am giving it for free on my blog, so be sure to stop by over Thanksgiving weekend to pick it all up.  Here is the preview.  I am having problems uploading- but it should be done later this evening.  I will put up the papers  first.

I would love you hear your thoughts on the kit... Like it, Love it, Hate it, or otherwise.  I would like to be in a store by early next year, so I need all the feedback I can get to make things better.  As I mention below I will be holding some one kit CT calls, so if you are interested, send me your LO's!

Since I have my holidays all messsed up anyway, I put together a list of scrapping resolutions for me:

*Offer 1 Freebie every 2 weeks to be posted on my blog (A full kit, not just a sampler!)
*Practice creating my own elements.  (yes, from scratch- this could be challenging- I am terrible at extractions
*Blog more often (this is a tough one too- I'm sooo busy lol)
*Give up a CT Team.  (this will be sad, and I will be staying on one CT, but I just don't have time for it all)
*Offer 1 Kit CT calls to get feedback on kits, and have more than just a preview to promote, as well as meet some new people.
*Continue working with mentors to improve my designs.  (thanks Jackie and Ramona!)

Hope everyone travels safe if you are traveling.  See you tomorrow with the elements.

Finally, The Elements

You get the last part of the kit early today, because we are going Christmas Shopping!  I have my EHD on the way, so that's my present, and I got Vaughn's stocking stuffers yesterday.  But we are off to Bed Bath and Beyond because that is where we can get Discover Gift Cards. Can't beat free money!  Don't know what we are getting, but we can usually pick up gifts for the women at least.  My Dad is easy- a Gander Mountain or Cabela's Deer Hunting shirt- Far Side Calendar if we can find one.  Predictable, but useful.

Anyway, enough about that-
HERE are the elements.

Papers- Part 2, and a LO for you.

Just got back from Vaughn's 15 month appointment.  He is a champ at shots- he cries when we hold him down, but not when he actually gets the shot!  They didn't have any flu shots, so now we have to try to find the regular AND the H1N1...more than likely at 2 different places.  Grrrr...

Here's a LO by Jacabean, that she created using my kit.  Thanks Jackie.  If you get a chance, stop by her blog (http://jacabean.blogspot.com/), she often offers freebies, and she has some great kits for sale.

If you download the kit and want me to showcase your work, shoot me an e-mail- I'd love to see it!

You can get the 2nd set of papers HERE!

A few cute kids...

I am done with my CT duties for the first half of the month- just in the nick of time...  So here are my last lei-outs for Scrapable.  I used a kit called "Summer Confessional". Shari of Doohikey Designs re-visited this kit and made it even better!  Bright colors, 13 papers, fun funky elements- not 1 but 2 alphas- WOW!  This kit is available at Scrapable- go get it here: http://www.scrapable.net/shop/product.php?productid=3959&cat=0&page=1

Here's my handywork- the first is my cousin Taylor- isn't she just too cute?

This is Jayden, one of my friends children.  This was at his mom's wedding.

Another new kit?

Well, finally we are all healthy again in this house!  I have had some time for designing, but not too much for scrapping myself.    I have put together another little kit for you...I will try to get it put up this weekend. My little brother is coming to stay with us this weekend, so we will see how that goes.  Here's a little peek!

I am off to de-germ and spiffy up the house before my brother and parents show up.  Thanks for stopping by!

Final Kit Preview! And it's FREE! (just a little catch!)

Hi there,

I'm back, this past week was a little draining.  My son was sick- nothing too serious, but he was SO clingy.  So, I don't know how many of you have had a 1 year old stuck to your leg, but it is hard to get anything done!

I've been busy... I am done with the kit for Fairytale Academy.  Here is the final preview.  I need to have some way to drive some traffic to my site.  I plan on having more freebies in the future HINT HINT!  So start following my blog!

Have a super rest of the week!

Halloween Lessons and

Hi Everyone, hope Halloween was great!  We had a lot of fun, and we still have one party to go this weekend- Adults only.  Vaughn was a puppy, and after we were done handing out candy we took him around with some of our friends and their kids.    At our old house we had 20-30 kids tops, this year I bought 120 pieces of candy, because i figured we would have more because it is a more kid friendly neighborhood. LOL, I ran out of candy in 40 minutes.  I talked to my neighbor, she said they ran out of candy (500 pieces) within an hour the first year they were here.  Guess I will buy more next year!

Now on to my CT duties... the kit I am working with can be found at DPH.
It’s called “That October Kit” This kit is loaded with fun fall elements that you can get a lot of mileage out of.  It’s got 15 papers and 41 elements.  It also includes some pre-clustered elements that are amazing!  What are you waiting for?  Head to Digital Paper Hearts to pick it up!
http://digitalpaperhearts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_96&products_id=1353

First is the kit preview, then 2 of the LO's that I have done with this kit.

My Kit--- All Elements

Short and sweet tonight... Let me know what you think!  I have to switch some of my papers around... this took a totally different turn than I thought it would LOL..  Went to Sunrise, Sunset theme to "little star"

Let me have it.   This was the hardest part yet, I need all the help I can get.  Don't be afraid to be too harsh! And, I did take the CC that was given previously and start to think about how to fix my stuff... I just haven't had time to actually do anything about it yet!  I appreciate you helping me grow!

Woodland Fairies

Check out this kit by Black Rose Digital... It is called Woodland Fairies. It is a great kit with lots of fun and elegant elements. A bit of Whimsy, but still real. It is a great fantasy kit- but I used it to make, of all things, Christmas Cards for a friend. It is so unique, and can be used in so many ways. With 25 papers and so many elements I lost count, this kit is a keeper! You can find it here:http://digitalpaperhearts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=1327

Need a great place to print your pages?

You need to visit www.pagestotreasure.com.  I just had a sample page printed and it is beautiful! The paper is thicker than photo paper, and not as glossy, but still has a little sheen. The elements pop off the page and the photos are crystal clear.

The girls there are so very helpful and responsive to questions.  The prices are very comparitive, if not lower than elsewhere that I have had pages printed- and the quality is awesome!

I am going to be getting together an entire album to send to them- think Christmas gifts! You can also check out their blog http://www.printpages.blogspot.com/  for some great ideas for Christmas gifts.

For you brownie scrappers, please leave feedback so I can see what you think of my papers...
It would be so very helpful!

Beautiful You! By Jacabean Designs, and a sneek peek!

Here is a great kit from Jacabean- a duo with Digi-Designs by Nicole.   I snagged it as a freebie- but it is now available at Scrapable.

Here is a LO that I made for it.  Another one from my Grandma's 65th bday, girls day out.  I really love the message that this kit sends, and thought this was a perfect photo to use with this kit.  Hope you enjoy!

And here is a sneak peek of the papers I made for Fairytale Academy at Brownie Scraps! I am very excited about this- I will have a whole kit when I am done!
